Agents and agencies from across the UK and Ireland have been honoured at the 2022 Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards.

The event, held in partnership with headline sponsor Virgin Atlantic, took place at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel in London with more than 600 guests in attendance.

The coveted awards were presented by TV and radio favourite Vernon Kay alongside Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley, with new categories originally introduced pre-pandemic including honours for commitment to sustainability, mental health and staff wellbeing.

Coveted individual awards included Leisure Agent of the Year, won by Wendy Haines from The Holiday Village; Leisure Manager of the Year, won by Barrhead Travel’s Chris Cooper; Young Leisure Agent of the Year, won by Hays Travel PTC Aaron Petty; and Agency Support Team Member of the Year, won by Nina Fox from Blue Bay Travel.

Swords Travel was named Small High Street Agency of the Year, having won the regional award for London and the South East, while the national homeworking, call centre and online agency awards were won by Travel Counsellors, ROL Cruise and Holidaysplease respectively.
