EasyJet summer appeal to raise funds for Ukrainian families

EasyJet is backing UNICEF’s appeal to help support children and families affected by the war in Ukraine through summer donations by passengers.

Customers raised a record £616,000 for the appeal through onboard collections in March alone.

The money raised will help UNICEF provide basic services including clean water and sanitation supplies, healthcare, schooling and learning, mental health and psychosocial support and emergency cash assistance.

EasyJet and UNICEF’s Change for Good partnership will celebrate a decade of working together this year. In that time customers have raised over £15 million via onboard donations.

The collection will run until September 30.

Cabin services director Tina Milton said: “As the war continues, this support will provide a vital lifeline to the children and families who have been affected.

“The launch of our summer collection today means that as a pan-European airline flying on nearly 1,000 routes we have a fantastic opportunity to help make a real difference to children and their families in Ukraine.”
